The life of a brilliant Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is amazing and unusual. His bright talent, constant creative enthusiasm created absolutely stunning compositions that  were and continue  to be known in almost every part of the world. Mozart lived only 36 years. In spite of the continuous concert activities that began when Mozart was six years old, numerous works were produced. Mozart wrote 50 symphonies, 19 operas, sonatas, quartets, quintets, Requiem and other works of various genres (Roselli, 1998).

Many days, months and even years of Mozart’s short life shrouded in darkness for us. We know nothing about what happened to him in the years 1775-1776, that were spent in Salzburg, or the months that have elapsed between Mozart’s return from Paris in 1978 and the production of  “Idomeneo” or the year 1789, which the composer spent in Vienna (Roselli, 1998).

Mozart was born in an old, beautiful city of Salzburg, situated on the shore of the picturesque river Salzach. Mozart’s father was an educated and serious musician. He served at the court of the governor of Salzburg. Leopold Mozart played the violin, organ, led the orchestra, church choir and wrote the music (Roselli, 1998). Having noticed the talent of his son, Leopold was immediately engaged in the further development of the natural gift of Amadeus.

At the age of three Wolfgang was already able to handle the harpsichord and enjoy its harmonious sound. At the age of four he was already able to repeat and memorize small plays. At the same age Mozart tried to compose a concerto for harpsichord. Due to the natural fluency of the fingers, which he continually developed, being six years old young musician performed complex virtuoso compositions (Roselli, 1998).

Aiming to realize the talent of his son and make a better future as a musician for him, the father decides to organize the world tour. The Mozart family visited Munich, Vienna, and then the major European cities – Paris, London, and on the way back – Amsterdam, The Hague and Geneva. The trip, which lasted three years, has turned into a truly triumphant procession. Many of the compositions Mozart performed with his sister Anna-Maria (Roselli, 1998).

The Program performed by Wolfgang impressed with its variety and difficulty. Young musician played the harpsichord virtuoso himself and in four hands with his sister. No less challenging works he played the violin and organ. Improvised (both composed and played) on a given melody, accompanied singers unfamiliar works. Wolfgang called “the miracle of the XVIII century” (Roselli, 1998).

The above mentioned facts of the childhood of young Mozart already doubt the capability of young musician to manage such a great deal of work in such age. It is actually already not a secret that some of the works considered to be written by Wolfgang are not the deal of his personal work.

The first fact that puts the originality of the works of Wolfgang is their quantity. A large umber of works could not be produced in the period of time, acknowledging the fact that Mozart dies at the age of thirty five (Roselli, 1998).

It was obvious that father was a great influence on Mozart, he was his teacher and struggled for the career of his son. Some of the Mozart`s works are really alike with the ones of his father.  This misunderstanding in the distinguishing of the works of the two was explained in regard to the resemblance of the handwriting. Despite this, there is a striking the similarity in the styles of the compositions (Melograni, 2007). Of course it can be explained by the influence of the education, as Leopold was the teacher of Mozart. But actually how deep the influence can be or other question is what amount of help has Woflgang got from his father in producing his famous masterpieces. It is known that quite a large number of works by Leopold are taken for Mozart`s. As follows the support of Leopold was not only educative, but rather the one with visible contribution.

To support the stated above, it is important to mention that Leopold a prolific musician and composer, His works include 70 symphonies and numerous serenades, overtures, concertos, etc. Despite this he was one of the first to begin his symphonies with long introductions that were to present the overall mood of the composition (Melograni, 2007).

Apart from this, it is to consider the role that Leopold played in the family. When his children were born, in 1760 the father of Mozart decides to sacrifice his musical career and dedicate his time to the education of the children. Leopold was involved in the creating of the career of his children. It is well-known that he was the facilitator of the world tour, that was aimed at obtaining the name of composer instead of performer by little Mozart (Melograni, 2007).

There are other arguments that speak in favor of a great help of Leopold in writing the compositions for his son. Minding a large number of travel made and the constant public engagements, Mozart had a really exhausting lifestyle that eventually led to a weak health of Mozart. From very childhood Wolfgang rubbed through erythema nodosum, rheumatic fever, angina, scarlet fever, smallpox and intestinal typhoid. Whereas the latter is said to be treated for near two months, during the period of which the young musician is said to create  six compositions (Melograni, 2007).
The next considerable detail that speaks of the inauthenticity of the works by Wolfgang is the appearance of the handwriting of Leopold and Nannerl in his manuscripts. In fact, Mozart was very generous in appreciating the works and encouraged her to write more often, asking to send the completed pieces (Melograni, 2007). Thus, it is also possible, that she has also taken part in the creation of some of the pieces. As follows, the idea that the works ascribed to Mozart was a product family cooperation and collaboration has some persuasive arguments.

Returning back to the handwriting, the scripts written by Mozart tend to show a rapid change in the signs. These changes were grounded by a natural development in that age. But as far as these changes appear unexpectedly and does not show a fluent development, they throw shadows at Mozart`s reputation. As follows, notational symbols present in the works written in 1779  appear to be considerably different the following year (Melograni, 2007). This also supports the idea that there was not only one pair of hands that took part in the script writing.

Further analyses of his work show that there is a considerable resemblance in the composition of other composers. Mozart is said to be easily influenced by the works of others. Despite the fact, that Mozart was confident and self-assured in his natural gift numerous evidences show the similarity with the styles of others. For instance, the presentation of the themes in reverse order in the recapitulation has its roots in some works by Johann Stamitz as well as the inversion of sixth into the thirds that is found in the works by Wagenseil doubt the originality of the compositions by Mozart. Despite this, scholars have discovered some similar features with the authors like Carl Philip Emmanuel Bach and Johann Christian Bach (Melograni, 2007).

The next pattern that is followed in the works of Mozart is resemblance to the works of Haydn. Not only his last three compositions are to be the reflection of Haydn`s style. Of course, the fact of influence is natural component in the music creation. But in the case of Mozart the degree of influence appears to be too deep and the cases of resemblance have quite a high number. But would a talented composer allow such a deep influence to mirror in the works of his own? Talking about music such resemblance can be considered to be the case of plagiarism.

One more incident that doubts the skills of Mozarts happened when the author was asked to create the composition for Der Schauspieldirector. The opera was planned to be presented at the court together with the work by Saliery. As a result the performance of Saliery was a successful one, whereas Mozart has shown a poor performance in the skills he was successful in and was criticized by numerous devotee (Melograni, 2007).

As follows, these cases actually doubt the uniqueness of talent of Mozart. Father’s help, the difference in the handwriting, shift of style, style inheritance are the aspects that put the authenticity and brilliance of Mozart under a question. Thus, the famous name is based to a larger extent by the loud name of Mozart, the notoriety as prodigy child that consolidated the status of brilliant composer. That is why the contribution made by Mozart still shall be reviewed in accordance with the all factors that militate against the originality of Mozart’s works.
